We are seeking an experienced, dependable Fleet Mechanic to take ownership of the maintenance and readiness of our diverse fleet of construction equipment, trucks, trailers, and support equipment.
THIS POSITION MATTERS
The Fleet Mechanic is not simply a repair position. This individual is a critical part of Foret Contracting Group's daily operations.

EQUIPMENT YOU'LL SUPPORT
Our fleet includes:
Heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles
Roll-off trucks and waste equipment
Telehandlers and forklifts
Bobcat skid steers and compact track loaders
Mini track loaders and compact equipment
Landscape and commercial mowing equipment
Hydraulic and powered attachments
Trailers and support equipment
Small engines, pumps, generators, and jobsite equipment
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled fleet services
Diagnose and repair diesel and gasoline engines
Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and drivetrain systems
Maintain trucks, construction equipment, landscape equipment, trailers, and attachments
Conduct routine inspections and identify problems before they create downtime
Coordinate repairs, parts procurement, and outside specialty service when required
Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
Track upcoming preventive-maintenance requirements
Respond to equipment breakdowns and operational needs
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and work area
Help establish a culture of equipment ownership, accountability, and preventive maintenance
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate is:
Experienced with construction and commercial equipment
Knowledgeable in diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical repairs
Capable of troubleshooting problems independently
Organized and proactive about preventive maintenance
Safety focused
Dependable and accountable
Able to prioritize repairs based on operational needs
Comfortable working both in the shop and in the field
Committed to maintaining equipment to a professional standard
A valid driver's license is required. CDL and applicable technical certifications are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
6-10 Years of experience working as a mechanic
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
Physical Requirements
Ability to climb into and out of equipment repeatedly
Work outdoors in heat, cold, humidity, and varying site conditions
Lift over 51 lbs when performing manual tasks
